Scenery

Im very new to fs2002 but i would like to know how do download and install better scenery in the game? thanks

Greetings, welcome to FS! Scenery is really easy most of the time. When you download a file it is usually layed out in a folder with the name of the scenery and 2 sub folders inside (scenery and texture), just place this main scenery folder anywhere you choose, I use the ADD ON folder inside the FS2002 folder, and when you start up the sim, go to the scenery library and hit ADD AREA and then hit okay. It will take a few moments while it loads all of it. Usually there is a starting point in the add on scenery section, but sometimes it is listed in the main menu instead...ALWAYS READ THE README that comes with it, sometimes you will have to add to the scenery cfg to get it to display properly. Hope this helps, if you tell us what kinds of areas you are looking for, we can poiont you in the right direction. Be wary of auto installers, it is good to know where your files are going, try to unzip into a temp folder.

so, obviously the scenery u download will replace the Original area in the game.
