hey I downloaded this panel and I'm having some problems with it. It doesn't let me change my nav frequencies, the heading bug and course setters only go up in increments of 10, and the altitude setter on the autopilot only goes up in increments of 1000. Plus I can't find the switch that switches the nav hold back and forth between nav and gps. I heard this panel is the best 737-200 panel out there so I'm probably just dumb and there's an easy solution to this......help would be greatly appreciated.

Copy and paste the following into the aircraft.cfg file:

[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1
// Com.2=1
Nav.1=1
Nav.2=1
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

That should do it.

It did not paste the header:

[Radios]
// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1=1
Com.1=1
// Com.2=1
Nav.1=1
Nav.2=1
Adf.1=1
Transponder.1=1
Marker.1=1

Also, the problems with the A/P should be corrected with the latest FSUIPC, see the readme.txt.

Well, heck.... both times the header shows up on the screen and then when I press reply it has disappeared:

[Radios]

should be above the text to copy and paste into the aircraft.cfg file. Sorry about that, don't know why it did it twice.

It still doesn't paste, so I will type it:

[Radios]

wow, makes me look like I never have done this before...

The brackets used to mark {headings} are reserved in this forum for links or something.
The latest fsuipc does explain and has a fix for this,but the real problem is caused by a particular gauge in your panel.If you can find which gauge and replace it,even better. I suspect one of these:autopilot,eng start,yaw dampener switch.

The information I gave about editing the aircraft.cfg file was a response I got from the author about the same problem about not being able to change the radio settings. The author mentioned in the read me file that users of this panel must have a recent version FSUIPC.

Yes,I hope it didn't look like I was disagreeing with you.You're definately correct.But the reason fsuipc is needed is because there is a gauge in the panel causing the prob.If it can be identified and replaced,no need for the fsuipc "fix".
I won't go into detail about how the gauge is causing this,it is explained in fsuipc as Ironfly pointed out.
You will see this in other panels too,it's a fs2k2 bug.So if you're not a panel editing fanatic like me,use the fsuipc fix.
The fix is called "stop controll acceleration" (something like that)
I don't think my explanation about using brackets on the forum made any sense.Sorry :-lol

I have FSUIPC but I'm having a lot of trouble with it. I have 3 planes that require it, but I can only get one of them to work. I heard about problems caused from not updating right from a previous version or something, but the first one I got was version 2.8 or something. The problem is that whenever I try to use the plane, FS2002 closes. Since the 737-200 is fine except for the problem with the panel FSUIPC is apparently supposed to fix, I'm beginning to wonder whether the problem is caused by FSUIPC not doing anything at all rather than FSUIPC causing problems. The planes that don't work are the American 727-200 advanced(you know the one with an unbelievable number of dounloads) and a VASP 737-400. Both were complete packages. The one that does work fine (so far) is a TWA 727 that came with a panel but I used the American 727's sound for it. When I was about to copy the sounds from the american 727 I realized that I put the sounds in the aircraft's sound folder instead of FS2002 sound(oops). So I tried to fix that by keeping the sound.cfg but moving all the sounds to the FS2002 directory. It still closed out by the time I had selected the american 727 and selected a flight plan. If this type of thing has happened to anyone, please let me know, who knows it may just be something I did and not FSUIPC. SO if I am doing something wrong or you have a suggestion, please let me know. As for the panel..........I guess I'll get a new one until I fix the FSUIPC problem(If ever). Thanks everyone who tried to help though.

The sounds for that 727 go in the fs2002 sound folder? I've never heard of that.
Fsuipc 2.88 had some problems,make sure you have the very latest one.When you update fsuipc always remove the old .dll and fsuipc.ini first.
This is off the subject a bit,but it sounds like you don't alias your sounds/panels.Do you know how that's done?It will simplify things and save lots of disk space.Let me know,I'll try to explain it(simple!)

No, I don't know how to do that and it would be great if you could explain that to me. Thanks!!!
