Hi there

You'll need AFCAD to create the virtual airport to be seen by AI. I've done one myself because Gib is one of my favourite places, having served there with RAF Coastal Command (Shackletons). If you have problems give me your email and I,ll send you the file - you'll still need AFCAD though.

Thanks for your e mail with LXGB Afcad file. The trouble is: my AI Traffic program to add the traffic does not show as LXGB being listed.. It's the program that i think is called AIM10, the one with the spanner as a logo. Any help how I can add this to the database of airports? I tried e mailing you back to thank you but your e mail bounced back. My e mail is diego@arrival.worldonline.co.uk

Also, does anyone know how to add LXGB to AIM10 so that I can add some traffic to Gibraltar? I need the compass reference points I think. You know N* and W* etc...

Well I added lots of traffic to AIM10 and afcad. I get a busy airport with many aircraft going to take of etc. However the inbound landing aircraft seem to approach then over shoot and go around. I waited till all the traffic had taken off so the gates were clear on the ground, but the aircraft don't land they just go around. Is there somewhere where I have to open the runway to landings in either AFCAD or AIM10..?

Hold the previous post. I now have dash 8 and smaller aircraft making it into Gibraltar. Any idea why the larger ones still keep going missed? They work at other airports...

A BAe 146 just approached, landed but then took off again. This also happens at London City, EGLC any ideas why? Is it my AIM10 aircraft timings? Gates or the aircraft specifications that don't allow larger aircraft into LXGB or EGLC...?

Can no one help me with the Traffic Tools program? How do I make the larger jets land at LXGB-Gibraltar, they approach and overshoot...

Actor,
Thanks for your earlier e mail. I have now managed to add LXGB to Traffic
Tools. Do your aircraft taxi out and fly off normally or do the returning
aircraft approach and then overshoot..? I seem to have noticed that only the
smaller planes land like the dash 8's and trislander I have. The 737's and
even the 146's dont seem to like landing. the 146 approaches then takes off
again. Any ideas how this happens? You get your larger aircraft to land OK?

IF ANYONE CAN HELP WITH LXGB AI AIRCRAFT PLS E MAIL ME THE ANSWER! Could anyone send me an e mail telling me how they have got their AI aircraft to successfully taxi out, take off and then return. I would need
a-types of aircraft that work correctly.
b-departure times and repeat periods.
c-what type of flight ie IFR or whatver.
I have got some to take off and go out and come back like the dash 8's and trilanders. 1 146 seems to go around ok without crashing, ATR42 seems to approach then roll in but disappear on the runway, jets seem to approach and overshoot. I found one jet that works fine, the Orion B737-200. is it because GIB is too sort a runway? I allow all the aircraft leave and sit waiting to see what returns, the 727's also approach then go around. There must be something I can do. As a note, most of the aircraft I used on LXGB are ok on most other airports, so it must be a LXGB thing. Any ideas?
