LAST EDITED ON Sep-21-02 AT 04:59AM (EDT)[p]Hi all,
Is it just me, or would anyone else like to see Dreamfleet or Wilco or FlightOne Software take the time to make a complete, accurate and functional 727 or Constellation? Wouldn't it be nice to see something other than 737s and A320s coming down from developers? I realize that shareware/freeware planes are out there and many are very good - some even better than payware! I had a wonderful, complete 727 about 6 months ago and lost it when I had to upgrade my computer :(.
I'm just drooling over the thought of a 727 In Command or a Lockheed Constellation In Command; it would be fantastic to set them up, the hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel pumps, startup, etc. It's just that complete package that sounds exciting! With complete respect for those that like to set up the shareware/freeware planes and tinker with the settings, manipulate folders and .cfg files (I know, I've done it many times), I'm just a person that likes to have a working, complete, realistic package without too much tinkering. I'm sure there are others.
Any thoughts, or do I sound too spoiled by Wilco, Dreamfleet, etc.? I think the real issue for me is, since we just had a baby (4 mths now), I just don't have the time to manipulate too much info on the computer; I just want to jump to a quiet, dark cockpit and start the simulation up from that first battery switch. It's still time-consuming, but it's that aspect of flightsimming that we all love! It's quality time with the computer and I try to squeeze that much in. Anyone who has a baby will understand :) :) :) (quite well worth it though) :) :) :)
