Frame Rate ?

I run FS2002 on 2 PC's one with Win 98se and the other with Win XP pro, both Pc,s have the exact same hardware -( P-3, G-force 3 TI-200 cards). While running FS-2002 on the 98 machine I see around 30 FR/sec, and on the XP machine it never breaks 10 FR/sec? I have the graphics set to max and frames top at 50 on both machines. Is there a frame rate issue with Win XP-pro and FS-2002.

I've experienced a slower-running FS2002 with WinXP Pro on a couple of P3 systems but not to that degree. On my P3/600 FS2002 ran 8-10% slower than with Win98SE. On my P3/1000 FS2002 ran 3-5% slower than with Win98SE. On the current P4 at 2.72GHz there is no difference at all. I've seen a number of these reports where, on various machines, XP seems slower when the CPU is slower than 1.5Ghz, or so. I would think that your case is more one of system drivers than anything else though. Have you checked with the motherboard manufacturer to see if you need an update for XP?
