I recently downloaded the A320 from flightsim.com, and i have been having a complication. Everytime i select the aircraft and start a flight, it says there is a problem with "a320guage.gau" After clicking ok 20 times, it finally goes away and i can fly the plane, but with a lot of lag. The lag isn't what is concerning me, I just want to know why that little warning pops up everytime i fly this aircraft.

If anyone knows, please reply :-)

Thanks!!!!!!

Have you checked to see if that gauge exists in your FS2002/gauges directory? You might even want to try replacing it with the original one found in the archive, if it is there.

Scott, just to put your mind at ease, I'm having the same problem as you are. I believe the problem lies within the default panel included with the A320 package. Seems like they used the default 737 panel with a few mod's but the A320 gauges mentioned, hoses the whole thing up. Currently I'm trying a new panel for the A320 to see if this fixes the problem.
Glad I'm not the only one who's encountered this. I'll try to re-post if I am successful.
May all your flights be safe!!

Thanks a lot DT671! I thought that I was the only one having this problem. I'll just deal with it everytime i fly that plane, no big woop :-lol

Thank you both for your help :-)

Project Airbus? I think they said they used some gauges from another aircraft, which somehow I have installed before (and so it's working for me), but I cannot remember which. If you have problems, you could visit their forum :-)

The problem is that Project Airbus forgot to include the file fssound.dll in the download, because they didn't realise that it is not in the standard FS2002 distribution, and all their beta testers had the file around from other planes that rely on it.

Download a recent version of it, such as the one included in the very nice Dassault Falcon package that Yannick Lavigne put together, and move it into your \Modules directory. The warning messages about the A320.gau not loading will no longer show up.

Btw the lag is probably caused because this aircraft is so exceptionally well modelled. I've read quite a few complaints that it kills FPS on many machines, tho I have to say that it is silky smooth on an XP 2000+ with GeForce 4.

The virtual cockpit, animated thrust reversers, wide beam outside lights and particularly the see through passenger windows make this a truly breathtaking aircraft to see.
