im pretty new to this game and want to add some tweeks. so what to add also i want some photo scenery or something, i love the videos where people are flying over the real cities and not just a area with a few building and a airport. my computer isnt the greatest 2.3 gig core 2 duo with 4 gigs ram and 512 video card. i get about 24 FPS with the settings turned up as high as i can get them.

so any advice on what i should get?

Start with some freeware photoreal scenery so you can just try it out on how to install, if you like the look, and how good they run on your pc. You could doa search in the library or d/l bigger areas like from Bluesky. Orbx has some freeware, more built up so you can see how your pc handles it.

After, you can move into payware. Usually better (beware, not always). Personally, I like MegaScenery products as they include such things as water-masking, autogen, and night textures. If you look you can find them on sale sometimes at 50% off. But there are lots out there depending where you like to fly in the world.

Ground Environment X (GEX) - replaces the not-so-great FSX ground textures and may give you improved FPS. It also makes a huge improvement with the night textures and lighting.

(as mentioned above) Ultimate Terrain X (UTX) - Improves the landclass, so you get more accurate beaches, rivers, roads, lakes, and cities/towns. It's easy to customize, so you can use just what you want. It also has more lighting options. I personally think the GEX night textures are good enough, so I don't use them.

Real Environment X (REX) - It takes care of the sky, weather, water, and even improves the airport ground textures. I have REX, but haven't tried the new REX Essentials.

World of AI - (it's FREE and very easy to use) - This gives you real-life AI airline traffic to replace Orbit, World Travel, and the others.

I would suggest holding off on buying airports and airplanes for now. They can get expensive fast and may end up causing a headache or two. You could easily improve the game with free 737 repaints here and some of the airport/scenery upgrades (search for Glenn Johnson and Ray Smith in the file library). After that, you'll probably have a better idea about what you want and what will work.
