Downloading problem for FSX

Hello,
I'm new, and I've just dowloaded my firt aircraft. I've extracted the files and pasted them in the "Airplanes" container of FSX. But when I start the game, there's no way to find my new aircraft in the selection. I tried with another plane, but it's the same: they're not in the game.
Help me please, what should I do?

Many possible reasons when downloading FS9 aircraft into FSX, but open up your texture file to see if there is a 'thumbnail.jpg' file , ie, a picture of the plane. Without it the aircraft won't show up in the selection folder.

Also make sure that "show all manufacturers and models or variations" is checked!

Can you let us know which files you downloaded? We can have a look at them and see if there is something wrong.
