Ok so i'm having a few different problems here. Trying to make a trip from KSAN to PHNL, that's roughly 2300 NM. I have had to about 2/3 of the way there. I have default payload weight and 100% fuel. I have looked all over the internet finding a few topics about this, but no clear answer. On my climb to 38,000 ft, I kept stalling trying to get to 38k ft. This is during summer and clear weather conditions. I am not sure if its a bug, or i'm doing something completely wrong. I am a ME Commercial pilot, so I am not completely clueless to all of this. If the 737 range si about 3,000nm why cant I make it 2200? Thanks in advance.

Try step climbing from FL320 instead. What where your headwinds? You tried climbing to 380 on a full load?

Basically there are two angles of attack. In the aircraft.cfg:
[GeneralEngineData]
...
fuel_flow_scalar = 1.000 // Scalar for fuel flow efficiency. There is a default B737 replacement aircraft.cfg that uses 0.336627. I don't know how accurate that is.
[TurbineEngineData]
...
ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.600 // Thrust specific fuel consumption, correct Real world CFM56-7B24 TSFC is 0.37(lbF/lbsT/h) and is what I use...Don
Default values.

i had a 25kt tail wind. and I'm not sure whatever the default load is. also what airspeed should I be climbing at?
I climb my PIC 737 at speed 300 after 4000'.
No problems.

They are settings in the aircrafts configuration file named aircraft.cfg. It is located in the folder of each particular aircraft.
You an edit it with notepad or any text file editor.
If you are talking about the default 737-800 change the fuel_flow_scaler=1.00 to fuel_flow_scalar = 0.815 for a more realistic fuel burn.
Although trying to climb to a cruise altitude of 380 fully loaded isnt going to happen. You need to step climb starting at around maybe FL300-320 or so. After about 1000 miles or so try stepping up to a higher cruise altitude. If you are an ME Comm pilot you should already know this.
Just sayin... :D

You an edit it with notepad or any text file editorJust be careful when using an editor like Word, Wordpad, etc. They can save in an enhanced text format that introduces characters that are not recognized by the sim.
That results in a corrupt *.cfg. I recommend only using Notepad for any *.cfg or *.xml. It will assure a pure, standard, text result. Back-up First...Don
