Spinning the ICON A5...

This is a spin in the Icon of MS Flight...I had a lot of extra height as I had been up to a volcano caldera at over 13000 feet, so I decided to get rid of the surplus altitude to get onto my approach to land.

I love the Icon for some things. It's great that the "anti-spin plane" spins better than any of the others I've tried. :cool:

Yeah, with some of those more difficult falls I just parked it at the water's edge and hiked inland on a known heading, then reversed it to get back to the plane. The advantage to that is you get a chance to take a nice long look at some of the astonishing scenery -- without having to do white-knuckle flying at the same time.

Yes, I've done that a couple of times but is there a way to step upwards to climb a hill or obstruction?

Yes, I just walk straight forward and it climbs hills and cliffs pretty effortlessly. But trees and building you have to go around - can't walk thru them.

I also had to hike through the jungle to one of the falls. I landed the Icon in a clearing at the top of a nearby cliff and walked down to the fall. I got my aerocache but got hopelessly lost trying to find the plane. Fortunately that's not a requirement to keeping the cache, so I just went back to the map mode. :) Since we're walking through the jungle anyhow, maybe MS could put in a fist person shooter add-on. You know, a Magnum P. I. episode re-enactment. :) — Bob
