Hello folks, I have been an on and off pilot playing FS2004 and thought it was time to upgrade to FSX, now I had a better pc. So I thought this forum was the best place to as for advice and pointers to ease my way into the great looking FSX sim. I'm also playing Microsoft Flight (which is superb in detail I think).

So, I remember that the ATC in FS2004 was pretty poor, so I wondered if the ATC in FSX was better? Also, are the flight models pretty accurate? I'd started to buy addons for FS 2004 and now I've changed to FSX I'm hoping that I don't have to buy any addons for a while. I've had a short play of FSX and it feels pretty much like FS2004, so I can navigate fairly well around the sim.

Anyway, thanks for reading and best wishes for all your flight endeavors.

Whoa mate, nobody HAS to buy addons! I've been flying FSX for about 4 years and the only addon i've bought in all that time is a strip of southern england photo-scenery and a bunch of assorted freeware addon planes, I honestly don't feel I need anything else..:)
