Reading the posts here I am not sure many folks are that interested in Flight.

However a list of suggestions was started a while back on the beta forum in an attempt to get everything in one place. That list has now moved here : http://msflightforum.myfastforum.org/about152.html to make it more widely accessible and easier to maintain.

I can assure everyone that the Flight Team are aware of, and supportive of this list. It makes it easier for them to find out what the community is looking for rather than checking lots of forums. A lot of the suggestions will reflect what folks have been saying for some time. We do know that the Flight Team are actively looking at TrackIR support but thee are no promises when that might appear.

If anyone would like to add to, or comment on, anything related to the list then you do not need to join the Forum hosting it. We are checking all the main sites regularly.

All I would ask is that any comment and suggestion are 'helpful'

Thanks

I suppose one might come to that conclusion based on some of the negative posts here on flightsim.com... however, I have to ask myself, is your conclusion a true representation over all? MS took the "sim" in a whole new direction of which most of us didn't expect and I would say that most of us here, didn't expect the sim to go in the direction that it did. So based in input here, ya, most of us are a tad disappointed. Now as far as others are concerned... (silent users)... we really don't know how they feel about the sim.

We don't have any information from MS re their sales and who's buying the additional stuff they're offering. Am I a tad disappointed... ya... but am I having a blast with "Flight"... heck yes!

Only time will tell how successful this version of MS flightsim is going to be. The graphics are wonderful and run very well (smooth). Give it a try and if you do not like it, you still have FSX right?

But for now, we don't really have enough info to establish that not many like Flight.... Only time will tell for now....

I'd like a change in the "eject player" feature for the person hosting -- when a player is ejected, they cannot rejoin for the remainder of the session. The other day I had a crash-kiddie running into everyone, but when I ejected him, he immediately came back into the session and started up again. I booted him several times in a row until he promised to behave himself.

I agree... booting someone who's being "less than professional" should remain booted as long as the original host is still hosting the session.

I think (withoutchecking) that there is an item on the list that refers to this and I recall it covers banning someone for the life of the session.

A suggestions list for a group of people who blatantly state they have no intention of entertaining the "Hardcore" community and knowingly went in directions they knew would upset the 99%? It's a good idea at heart but probably as effective for us as writing out a list to Santa Claus.

So what are you saying, there's not such thing as Santa! SHAME ON YOU! heh.... but back on topic.... sure, there are those who want to disrupt MP sessions (kids)... however, allowing the host to ban them for the duration of the host's session totally makes sense. Do you disagree?

I hope not. I have no problem with folks believing this is a waste of time - that is their privilege. I happen to believe that it is better to try and influence something than not. If it fails then nothing is lost. On the other hand if it succeeds even in a small way then we have gained something......

It was almost inevitable that it would, given there are those who still can't accept the reality of the situation.

I guess I'll have to apologize for my non conformist opinion that the all ears team that is dishing out aircraft with no panels is not going to pay much attention to the interests of most here. Sorry for ruining this optimistic thread with my deranged ideas.........I reckon that I must be incorrect and the FLIGHT team actually cares about what most of us here have to say and are willing to align those suggestions with their product.............and not the hypothetical audience I thought they were busy trying to put in bed for some DLC pay days and great "Achievements".

OP.........The only time I believe the team will consider suggestions that matter to most is when a financial need to consider suggestions arises. I'm not sure what exactly their target audience is, but I honestly do not think they are listening to even the softest core audience if we can put a label on the Sunday simmer. A good measure of their receptiveness will be future releases of their aircraft, and whether they decide to include panels, particularly virtual panels, which are a make or break deal with many.

Ricardo,

As there are people in this forum who do like Flight, I suspect the Flight team may be interested in what they have to say. No one is saying you must conform to everyone else's beliefs (or need to apologize for your own), but perhaps in this case it would have been better to leave the thread to those who are interested in, and enjoying, Flight? Perhaps they might have suggestions that will fit in with what the developers are aiming for.

You know, it is quite possible that there is a certain amount of lag time from customer feedback until that feedback can be implemented. It's quite possible that the Zero was already in the final stages before the feedback came in about people being miffed about no cockpit in the Mustang.

I know instant gratification is all the rage these days, but perhaps some patience might be in order? Perhaps they're actually listening, but it takes time to turn feedback into results? Optimistic I know, but hey, it might be true.

You're right.....................I've made it a point to not post unnecessarily on this section of the forums. I do however feel that this team is not being or may not be very receptive to even the people who like FLIGHT. The simulator aside, this team has just been lousy in providing effective communication or feedback between them and anyone. It's a sharp contrast to what is seen in other games/simulators, etc. I'd like to see what they do with their next aircraft releases in terms of satisfying the demand for aircraft with panels.

I would like to see a fully detailed Carrier Ops package, the FSX/Accel Mission stepped up about 10 notches. Day/night, good/bad weather, exotic locals, multiplayer tanker re-fueling and air ops, S&R, detailed carrier wing aircraft (fighters, tankers, helos, support aircraft, sub hunters etc.) and so on. Being able to drive the ship w/VC Bridge gets a bonus Legacy Appreciation Point! This is an idea that can drive DLC sales! Woot!

A European Regional Passenger Jet package. High fidelity aircraft, systems, ATC, and routes around Western Europe. Detailed urban areas and airports with photo real route scenery. Virtual Airline and ATC front-ends (community social tools) to round out a multiplayer aspect. Build community! Double-woot!

Real character/aircraft/equipment advancement with/for XP levels and Achievements. The term "Real" is open for debate.

Eat them crackers.
Aloha!

If some of you cannot stay on topic, please see your way out of this thread. Some that ENJOY Flight have asked for this thread to remain on topic, with suggestions, without editorials or what you think or don't think. You know who you are so please adhere.

I like Flight just fine,it is not a replacement for FSX as a sim but it fun enough for an hour or two, that being said I have found that multiplayer is almost un-playable anymore. Why you wonder....I have recently been bombarded by what another poster has called "crash kiddies".These a**es orbit airfields in multiplayer and try to "ram" you in mid-air while you try to land or cruise by close enough for them to get to you. I know it's a game and ya gotta have a bit of fun but come on....I like to fly but having some 10 year old and his idiot buddies try to mid-air ya during a mission makes me wish it was a combat sim with working guns and missiles, now that could be entertaining!;)

Right before they hit you press the "M" key, wait a second, and press it again.

They will go right through you without affecting you.

There is a request in the list to be able to ban such folks from a MP session for the life of the session rather than just bumping them.

Another thing you can try is to avoid the big island of Hawaii while doing missions in a public session. A lot of the crash-kiddies use the free-to-play version, and spend almost all their time circling around Hilo and Kona.

Working auto pilot in the aircraft that have them like the Maule. It is there but you cannot use it. Actually not to concerned about the no cockpit planes as I fly 95% of the time in chase plane view. Good view to use when looking for aerocaches.

Perhaps something like a "Clippy" for Flight will bring in a couple million new users.
Since Rover, Clippy and Bob have been used how about they try "Swoop Dog" for an animated Flight interface companion and all around faithful super hero pet to accompany a player on their Flight Adventures.

"Swoop Dog" could grab those unreachable Aerocache points via a /release_the_hound command in the chat dialog box. "Swoop Dog" should be upgradeable with future DLC content! "Swoop Dog" should also bark, a lot, for greater immersion.

Next idea - Cats!

Things I would like to see.

1. Autopilot (Alaska Is mighty big to be going it without George)
2. GPS in aircraft other than the A5
3. Nav aids that work in free flight (VOR, NDB)
4. Some kind of ATC and radio comunication
5. Use of the above through Saitek or GoFlight panels
6. Multiple panel support that at least we could place a GPS or the map on the second monitor.
7. A flight planing capability.

These things I am sure could be done and would bring strong acceptance from the FS community.

I'm not even going to touch SDKs or in letting 3rd party support as it is obvious that MS wants all the beans.

Moe

We can still suggest they release an SDK.
