I'm stuck in the fly-by mode....

Any suggestions? Joystick won't work nor will the keyboard. No matter what, it is always in they fly-by mode.

I had that happen to me so I uninstalled it and re-downloaded it and that fixed the problem, but someone suggested I should of done this.

If that happens again, you do NOT have to uninstall/reinstall to recover. Simply delete the ..\CurrentSituation folder:

R:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\A31CB2FEA2 F1CDF1\Career\CurrentSituation

That looks like Windows7 path to me so if you are using XP the path could be differant.

No, R being your drive name. If you have just one drive it would be C: Make sure you have show all hidden files and folders on.

Ok, well it appears that i DID it... although it also appears that i'm starting the game from the beginning. I'm not the most computer literate person, however I'm probably much more informed than the average person. I had to do a LOT to access the information I needed such as allowing admin rights ect to the app data file. I ended up deleting the flight config file as well as the cam file.

I don't mind starting over (I have to go through the balloon phase etc)... as long as it's fixed. I can use my keyboard to change the views as well as my joystick (ms sidewinder pro 2). For someone who's NOT computer literate... this would have been an unfixable scenario.

Hopefully MS puts out a patch... anyway, you guys got me headed in the right direction and I thank you for that.

Also, MS Live was being pissy about letting me log in... fuggers... LOL.... anyway, thanks guys... LOVE YOU!
