View Full Version : How You Can Make "Flight" A Total Success & Homerun for MS

It's really simple............purchase at least a couple of DLC's from them and it will eventually be declared a financial success. It will be the clearest message to them that we do not care about being able to input a setting such as wind direction or speed. Or have the ability to somewhat define a weather system. As soon as you fork over a dollar, is as soon as anyone can forget about MS changing anything about FLIGHT. I will personally not purchase anything from them until

1) They open up the user settings for manual control of weather and detailed graphics settings
2) They display a worthwhile reason to invest in their DLC's. I'm not in for a 1/2 done attempt or one that is going to be abandoned a year later

I'm not yelling for a boycott or anything like that. The way I see it, when dealing with any entity that will not hear your words, the only way to grab their attention is by holding on tightly to your wallet. I hope the community sticks to their guns on this. I like the performance and features that I see in FLIGHT......but MS only deserves the same taste of betrayal they offered us. We should allow their "Target" audience to come through for them financially. Our wallet should not open up until they target us as an audience again. Any other way is promoting the restrictions of FLIGHT. Personally, I'd like to be able to set a cloud layer. Wouldn't you want to at least be able to set the wind direction and speed?

Tip!: Accept to enroll in their customer experience/improvement program. It will show them first hand that the program hasn't been fired up and is collecting dust and/or that you haven't purchased anything.

I totally agree with that man! ;-)

The metric microsoft should use to judge this experiment is just how many people are paying for addons 6-9 months down the line when the initial buzz has worn off.

In the old days, to see the new sim you would have to go and buy it in a store or online. You got a tangible product and the excitement of taking it home and installing it, but MS had your money in the bank.

Now you can see it for free. How many will still be using it in 6 months? How many, once tried will shell out for more?

All I want is to be able to fly where I want, in the aircraft I want. I can't do that in MSFlight now. They haven't said that I will ever be able to do that in MSFlight.

So when will it happen and how much will it cost me? Until then, I am keeping my money in my pocket and wait and see who else jumps to fill the likely void.

Xplane anyone?

I'd like to at least be able set a darn cloud and visibility layer. My simple message, which I hope provokes some thought and logic among ANYONE who would like or has some hope that MS will at one point open this sim up or offer it with more options, is that forking over money to them is a BAD idea. It will put them in a financial comfort zone, grow the wings of their new direction and make them less inclined to change anything now or in the future. As a community, we can either sell out or stick to our guns. I am in no way bashing FLIGHT.......I like what I see. But MS has it in a freaking HEADLOCK. It's a hijacking.
