View Full Version : How much of the world will be covered

In my years of flying with FSX and previous FS versions, I have enjoyed making medium range to long range flights, in real time always and using real-world flight plans. Normally, I fly bizjets and twin engine props. Examples would be, KLAX to KABQ, KSEA to PANC (Seattle to Anchorage), KMIA to TNCM (Miami to Princess Juliana).

I suspect that MS Flight will eventually make available areas other than Hawaii and that these will be parceled out over time. But the question is: how long and how much? By that I mean, how long will it take to release these areas, how large will they be, and what fraction of the globe will they eventually cover? Personally, flying around a limited-size area like the large island of HI, even one with the scenery quality of MS Flight, would get old very quickly as, I would suspect, it would for many other sim pilots.

Any comments?

Nobody knows, not even beta testers.

Frankly, I think they have destroyed Flight Simulator with this "new" version. The game should be released as it always has, the full world. As for detailed world, looking at google earth and other programs like it, it shouldn't be too difficult to incorporate that into the finished product thus having a fairly detailed world. I probably will download the freebe version, but having to buy different areas is just pure stupid and is nothing more than a get rich scheme IMHO.
