I would like to see a fully detailed Carrier Ops package, the FSX/Accel Mission stepped up about 10 notches. Day/night, good/bad weather, exotic locals, multiplayer tanker re-fueling and air ops, S&R, detailed carrier wing aircraft (fighters, tankers, helos, support aircraft, sub hunters etc.) and so on. (Being able to drive the ship w/VC Bridge gets a bonus Legacy Appreciation Point!)

An Alaskan Bush package in 5 Season Detail, multitudes of camps, remote strips, geographical realism with a customizable Virtual Bush Airline front-end. Fly multiplayer freight and passenger objectives within the larger context of managing in-game a virtual Bush Flight operation. In Alaska, modeled to photo real perfection, all of it.

European Regional Passenger Jet package. High fidelity aircraft, systems, ATC, and routes around Western Europe. Detailed urban areas and airports with photo real route scenery. Virtual Airline and ATC front-ends to round out a multiplayer aspect.

... and last but not least ...
An in-game, full featured, Voice Comm utility for online/social/Virtual Airline/ATC interaction.

These things are by no means "revolutionary", but they would be nice to see in Flight and would I imagine give a great many something to do.

Yep, I'd get my wallet out. Especially the Carrier Ops Package(CVA-66, USS America, on Yankee Station 1972 would be a bonus :D) ...Don

I think the packages will be just planes and 'maps', perhaps bundles will follow but for all the features you've listed, as much as I'd like to see them, it'd be an agonizing wait (for all the planes, sceneries and missions to be released separately, then a price decided for the bundle)

Right.
The Thread Topic is ..."What would you like to see in the MSFlight Store?" Not shoot down what others think or debate the merits thereof, no offense intended. So ...

What "planes/maps and sceneries/missions", etc. would you like too see?

Apologies and no offence taken. I would like to see most of the FSX planes, like the Beechcrafts and Cessnas and also those planes that have been AI for years but we haven't flown, namely the MD-80s and Cherokees. I would like to see better scenery for the UK (although of course, everyone wants their country to get the attention) and Asia which is neglected in FS, despite having the most spectatcular aviation in the world (Lukla, Paro, Kai tak etc.) Also, more historic aircraft but not the pioneers in FS9, more like the warbirds such as the Spitfire and P-51. Of course, I want a glaring ommission to be fixed and that's AI. I would like to see carrier and helicopter AI, perhaps AI performing missions such as an AI search and resuce operation would be fun to watch from your aircraft carrier bridge.

My favourite idea is the Bush package, I'm just into that at the moment: I would buy a Euro package though if EGNT was featured (it's on AF and eurowings' schedules...)

I want to see the whole world and all the airports that come with it.

I would vote for a bush package as well. FSX has bush type missions in it already I believe.

I would like to see all aircraft come with workable cockpits...not a 'basic version' without cockpit and a 'deluxe version' with cockpit

Not many liked Bill Gates, but he supported Microsoft Flight Simulator to be a product for hobbyists. Users could expand and customize it to its liking. When B.G. left it was just a matter of time before the new leadership saw that too many people where working on a less profitable franchise... sadly. At least MS Flight Simulator was one of the last to fall. In car simulators, namely Forza Motorsport 4 and Gran Turismo 5, there are in-game stores to purchase new cars and car packs, as well as new tracks. So it was just a matter of time before in-game stores would come to PC-games too. MS Flight takes it a step further and does like LOTR and some other MMORPG's to the PC and offers the game free, but you have to pay to get a better game experience. I don't see why a different way of marketing the product would make this a worse simulator.

What do long time desktop pilots want in the MSFlight Store? First enough content, so that they can upgrade MS Flight to a would be Flight Simulator 11! Many complain about the new simulator seeming more like game... well, hardcore desktop pilots are probably more able to navigate advanced menus to configure MS Flight into "simulator"-mode than the other way around with fresh desktop pilots.

Second, the most realistic planes possible on todays PCs. Microsoft has yet to make full-blown realistic planes. Many good 3rd-party developers make those planes. It seems the fate of MS Flight being a choise for serious simmers will be determined, wether skilled 3rd-party developers will get their planes in the store or not. I know that's what I want in the the store.

Really?

If Flight fails the chances of Microsoft Games Studios getting development money for another flight simulator will be zero. What, therefore, will be gained by Flight failing? - absolutely nothing?

I agree, nothing will be gained but it would appear a lot of people would like to see MS hung drawn and quartered so this is just representative of public opinion. Just look at MS's YouTube and FaceBook and you'll see the public opinion they are expected to deal wiith, do you really think MS think they will be bothered to try to make ANY sort of sim in the future? And do you think any of these hundreds of people are thinking realistically about their comments and the meaning of what they're actually saying?

It isn't repesentative of public opinion. It's representative of a vociferous minority who don't know what Flight will be or will become with its DLC. Microsoft will ignore them.

While Microsoft may provide many things in the Flight Store, I seriously doubt Development Money, Failing, Signs, Public Opinion, Vociferous Minorities or Realistic Thinking will be available.

Let us remain a little more on topic eh?
