Please make this a huge upgraded product

I want to see google satellite imagery in the ground textures or better. I guess want it like real life so i can fly VFR. Oh yes and realistic night lighting ect.... The rest is already pretty darn good.

Now go to it and produce something making it worth my money to buy a new destop computer !!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting years for something like this.

What you're asking for is pretty much possible with things tileproxy and the numerous VFR packages or megascenery packages that are out there. You could technically even do it on your own if you know how to use certain scenery design tools, SBuilder, etc.

You do realize that Google is a competitor with Microsoft and development teams for products like Flight are specifically banned from using any imagery from Google?

MS isn't going to do that and invite lawsuits they would lose.

Besides, only about 80 to 85% of the US has sufficently detailed imagery to work well in FS. Mountain areas can be a real problem. Most of the detailed imagery we see on Google Maps and Google Earth is aerial photography, not satellite imagery. Microsoft has rights to some imagery, but I don't know if their purchase agreement extends beyond Bing usage to individual product usage.

Also huge, huge areas of the world do not have detailed enough satellite imagery available for purchase to identify roads. The photos below are about 1/4 mile by 1/4 mile in size - about 160 acres each. The worst is a town in Africa. Much of the world would look like that image. The other two are in the United States. Also Google or other satellite imagery isn't consistent in date / data - as one photo shows the transition line - taken just a couple miles from the other US photo.

The biggest satellite imagery/ aerial photography based project we've seen was the fellow who did the entire nation of Chile. It was 526 files - average file size about 45MB - so the nation of Chile is about 25 GB.

Since the United States has about 13 times the area of Chile - it will take about 325 GB of scenery for the US - or 80 DVDs for the US alone.

Yes, it's already been done, and I found the necessary upgrade in storage quite worthwhile.

The greatest upgrade that I am hopeing for is stability. After trying everything (even replacing controls, computers, operating systems, buying new software, etc,etc) the damn thing (FSX) crashes about every 2 hours. I don't care what it performs like or looks like as long as it runs without crashing. Oh and as long as it don't frustrate me like the user unfriendly xplane.
