as most of us know the default AI in FS9 isnt bad but it gets boring after a while.

after installing all of the PAI files i have i usually rename the extenstion of the file to lgb so that the default ai doesnt show up..

but i have the default ai flying as well as tyhe ai i created and the PAI files...

if the file is renamed traffic030528.lgb it should prevent any default ai from showing up, yet they still continue to fly...

how do i get rid of them again...do i have to start again with the ai??

thanks

Some addons will put default GA back in your FS world. Some others use default aircraft for their own flight plans.

The best solution is to use the TrafficToolbox SDK tool - TrafficToolbox.dll - and identify the exact file which generates the errant AI aircraft.

The SDK is free for FS2004 - you can download it from a link here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555857

Run the install to put the SDK in your Program Files folder. Browse to that location and copy the TrafficToolbox.dll to your FS2004 \Modules folder. When you start FS the next time, there will be a Tools option in your top menu. Open the Explorer - hilight the default aircraft - click on the top bar of the Explorer window and enable the full path - expand the column so you can see exactly which file is generating the aircraft.

Another alternative is to replace the default airlines (i.e., their textures) with replacements.
