When flying up the Hudson River from New York City, one of the beautiful VFR waypoints is the West Point Military Academy jutting out on an elevated penninsula on the western shore of the river just north of the Bear Mountain Bridge. Default FS, or course, shows nothing in that location. I think it might be a nice scenery project for any of you talented scenery creators to make an add-on. The screenshots show the real-world, and FS9.

You will also see from the screenshot that I have a scenery glitch which I think is the double coast line thing (and a strange water plateau just north of West Point). Not sure where to start to try to track down this glitch, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them. I'm using FSGenesis 19m (LOD 11) mesh

Hi Jay,

the weird coastline usually is a product of a landclass scenery. If you use any of that for the area put it on a high level in the scenery library. That usually solves the problem.

Real World:

Don't fly too low over West Point. When I flew VFR to Bridgeport, CN, from the Minneapolis area along time ago it was a restricted area.

The Carmel VOR near there is also one of the holding points of the New York City airports with jets stacked.
