I've downloaded the following posky 777 file fro flightsim: os773sa.zip

a problem i have encountered is the extremely loud engine noise.

it's so loud that i cant hear the ATC anymore and is quite literally on the verge of breaking my ear drums.

it's the same even after adjusting the engine sounds etc etc to minimum.

any help on this? thanks much in advance!!

how do i reduce the volume for those .wav files?You will need a .wav editor(Google). They run the gamut from very basic freebies, to full boogie audio editors. Back-up first!
If you find one that has the capability to save an editing profile, you can do all of the .wavs exactly the same with a click.
Otherwise be sure you use exactly the same settings for each edit...Don
