The lowest approach I've ever made to TNCM after a long trip from EHAM (Amsterdam Intl). No edits! Enjoy!

Used: PMDG 747-400X, Flytampa TNCM, REX

I almost want to say it looks like you're coming in too high. Did you get her down in time/avoid having to throttle out and go around?

I got her down a little early, made a landing (according to Fspassengers) of 36 Feet/Minute Descending!

He's clearly not too high. A 3 degree glideslope is almost standard. What do you think that mean thousands of feet short of the touchdown zone?

Well sorry I don't spend my entirety of my flightsim time flying in and out of St. Maarten because there's more to the world than that small island. Based on certain aviation pictures and videos (http://www.dvorak.org/blog/2007/06/16/st-maarten-airport-the-wildest-place-in-the-world-to-watch-airliners/) I was curious to know if my interpretation of his situation was correct. Having tons of videos and pictures of low approaches into SXM doesn't help to ingrain the real approach path in anyone (who wants to see a properly executed approach when it's more fun to put out pics/videos of near death approaches? kidding).

A 3 degree glideslope is almost standard.

*sarcasm* Really?!! WOW!! Guess all my time on VATSIM shooting different ILS approaches was a complete waste.

If you actually paid attention to what I said I was guessing that he was going LONG on the touchdown, plus I preceded my statement with "almost want to say" because of my unsuredness of the situation. You're treating my original statement, while ignoring my replies, like I was a pilot newbie with no clue and that I don't appreciate. Maybe you should read peoples comments over a few times before spouting crap like that. If I had your confidence I know I wouldn't crap all over you with statements like that. I would be polite and inform you perspectives can be deceiving or simply not say anything at all.

How low can you go, Porkchop? (anyone know the reference? :D)

The lowest landing in real life that I have seen was literally just 5 feet above the fence, it looked like. Try beating that on a real atempt at landing!
