Today, fighting for the championship, it's Wilco vs. PSS! Who will make it to the end? Let's find out!
PSS 777
Pros:
Nearly all systems simulated accurately
Mostly great model
Semi-Good Sounds
Modelled interior (from the outside)
Realistic Flight Dynamics (flown a triple 7)
Every page of the lower DU (except the 'Cam' (camera) page and the 'Comm' (communications) are modelled excelently
Wing Flex
FMC
TCAS
Weather Radar
Semi-Nice VC
A Few Liveries are included
-200LR, -200LRF, -300ER modelled nicely
Settings page (including airline options, ground con., etc.)
ULTRA-LONG HAUL!!!!
Cons:
Engines are too small
Outside Cockpit windows are too small
No folding wings (no airline has this, but would've been a nice touch)
No -200, -200ER, -200F, -300 modelled, only LR versions, which discludes realisticly modelled aircraft of other airlines
Seats not modelled from the outside
8 doors on one command
Rudder shape a little too small and thin
Hardly any liveries available, now that PSS is no more
VC 'Cartoonish'
Camera page on lower DU could've been externally placed FS views
Only FS2004 compatable
PSS did a great job on the panel, and at least tryed with the model, so I give them a
80/100!
And now, Wilco!
Wilco/Feelthere 777
Pros:
Some systems simulated accurately
Mostly great model
Good Sounds
Semi-Realistic Flight Dynamics (flown a triple 7)
Many lower DU pages modelled
FMC
TCAS
Wing Flex
Semi-Nice VC
FS9 and FSX available versions
Many Liveries are included
-200, -200ER modelled nicely
Cons:
Almost ALL of the EICAS warnings are NOT modelled
Engines are (yet again) too small
No folding wings (no airline has this, but would've been a nice touch)
No -200LR, -300, -300ER modelled, yet again taking out a few airlines
VC 'Cartoonish'
Many parts of the OVHD panel are not modelled (hydraulics, for example)
Plane lifts up too easily
Some sounds are not modelled or are incorrect
Wilco models always seem rushed to me, and this model feels the same.
I give them 75/100
There are many models of the 777 (freesky project [formerly POSKY], Meljet, the list can go on!) and I managed to combine the PSS panel with the POSKY model, to make a great plane for my FS2004 flying.
