I have downloaded the princess alice carribean DeHavilland and on viewing the cockpit there appears to be some gauges/panel missing. There is no attitude indicator, heading indicator, VOR indicator, ADF indicator and there is no autopilot panel. I also get the error mesage that the file CV2B air is damaged. Is this the reason or is therre something else.
If I download another DeHavilland will I have the same problems.

I just downloaded and install the package in FS2004 - actual file name is princess_alice_caribou.zip (note the underscores).
I unzipped the package to a temporary folder first to check it out. There is another zip folder (besides the Princess Alice folder) in the package which is named gauges.zip. This I unzipped to another temporary folder. This gave me a folder named gauges which contained 9 gauge files. I then copied the 9 individual gauges into the Princess Alice panel folder.
I did not put those gauges into my default gauges folder (but you may have to if using FS2002) as FS2004 (and FSX) look in the panel folder first for any gauges required. I do not plan on keeping this aircraft so did not want to have to hunt down those gauges. One delete will get it all.
The panel look fine to me - nothing appears to be missing.

Thanks for the assist David.
I am running FS 2002 Prof. I copied the downloaded file to the aircraft folder in the FS folder, unzipped, and then moved the gauges folder to the "gauge" folder and unzipped - there were 9 files, but I do not have software to open and view them. However in the aircraft folder I opened the file caribou_panel.jpg and all the gauges and panels are there. The file CV2B.air is apparently damaged and since this is the installer package, is this the problem?

I have download the same file (princess_alice_caribou.zip ) on to another computer. I copied the file the aircraft folder in the FS folder and unzipped and then moved the gauge zip file to the gauge folder and unzipped.
Same problem with gauges missing. It appears there is a damaged file (CV2B.air). How do I get a good one.

There is nothing wrong with the .air file - it is not any type of installer and it is not corrupt. If you are seeing an install icon by it, that is due to your having allowed Adobe to update the Adobe Acrobat program (used to read pdf files) and the update also installed another Adobe program called Adobe Air (installed without your permission I might add). It unfortunately uses the same extension (.air) as FS does and will report the FS air files as being corrupt - even though they are not.
Most of us have simply removed the Adobe Air program (used by a few sites to display web pages and by a few doctor's offices to display patient information).
.air files in FS are used "as they are" - they require no installation etc..
Be sure the 9 gauge files end up in the default gauges folder or if using FS2004, in the panel folder of the aircraft in question.
Also - Just unzipping the Gauges.zip to the gauge folder was not enough as all that did was insert a subfolder in your gauges folder named gauges. You have to dig down to the 9 gauge files themselves and place them in your gauges folder.
Hope that helps.

Thanks David it seems we are progressing.
I did what you have outlined; moved the gauges from the sub folder to the gauges folder (since I am using FS2002) and also uninstalled adobe.air. When I compare the jpg of the caribou panel to what I actually get in the aircraft it appeares I am still missing two gauges - the attitude indicator and also the heading indicator.
I checked that all nine files from the gauge sub folder were actually in the gauge folder. I also moved the "princess caribou" sub folder into the aircraft folder.
As an aside, the yoke appears to interfere (covers up) with a couple of gauges. Could I delete this from the panel folder?
I am most appreciative of all your help.

Hard for me to know exactly what might be missing as we are using two different FS versions. Everything appears to display properly for me.
To remove the yoke, I just click on the middle icon on the lower row on the left side of the cockpit - it is the compass icon but removes the yoke instead. At least it does that on my FS2004 setup.
Hope that helps.

Guess you will just have to ask for your money back then.
