I seriously doubt it. With my 3.2GHz I7 quad core, GeForce 570 and 12GB RAM I still have to sometimes tone down some settings in some locations. I'm not aware of any laptops that will do what I think you're asking. That being said, I'd expect, if you're willing to reduce some of the sliders a bit, that you could fly FSX enjoyably, although an integrated graphics card might be a hindrance (don't know for sure -- it is in many things).
Basically, even a top notch desktop will have to reduce some settings a bit to remain smooth, in certain areas, so don't set your expectations too high.

Nope, the integrated card and CPU that you won't be able to overclock will be seveer limitations. I think it would even struggle a bit on medium settings.
I'm running at 3.66 GHz and can't max out everything. To do so probably equires 4.5 GHz CPU and a good 1 meg videocard.

While the graphics will be a concern with that laptop, its is a very CPU demanding program. So that's two strikes against that laptop. A 4ghz+CPU is going to be needed. Don't need a top of the line video card though. But will definetely need a dedicated board with 1gig on it at a high resolution. It is said by many that even with the most advanced system, you will need to skimp on something whether it would be to reduce graphics settings or reduce AI traffic to obtain smooth gameplay. FSX was poorly coded is the main reason why such difficulties on running it smoothly on any system with full graphics and AI. But don't let that discourage you. The game can still be quite playable and enjoyable. I have fun with it running my old Q6600. I can run pretty high graphics on two monitors. I just have little AI and it runs smoothly in most areas. NYC or LA have been the only two places where it drags a bit (that I have actually flown too, might be others such as Heathrow).

No, FSX was coded for a different set of hardware combinations that never came to be, especially at the time when FSX was released.
You have my curiousity Jim, what hardware combination was it written for that never came to be?
It's been the general consensus for years that it was just poorly written. The only thing that comes
to mind when the terahertz transistor was designed, octinary vs. binary. That never came to be.

No, the general consensus is that it was programmed for fast single core processors like the ones Intel had in their plans (they were forecasting 10+ GHz chips by 2010). However, part way into the development of FSX the world changed to multi-core processors. And it changed almost over night. At this point development was too far along to change without going back to the drawing board and starting over.
