It seems that my spot views in FSX are becoming very blurry and since that is where we do most of our screen shots my screen shots are looking bad, it did not use to be like this and I am not sure what to do about. Also FSX is crashing a lot more than it use to and I have not changed my settings in a long time. Maybe my graphics card is going out. I do not know but my flying is not as fun as it use to be.

My FSX started to deteriorate, and then suddenly, boom. New hard drive needed. :(

Nice shots, John. :-)

Have always noted the more that is added to our flight sims then all the more problems/glitches/unpleasantness occur.
This incarnation of my flight simming is keeping everything as basic & un-bloated as possible. So far so good with the one
recent exception of landing at Portland International/KPDX where I get the ole' "fatal error" when my wheels touch the runway.

Hoping you'll get it figured out soon, John. She's a complex beastie, FSX is. The simpler the better regarding a potential vast amount of addons, in my estimation.

John, the Beaufughter has a different "view point". If you want to make a close-up of the bird you have to "plus" the view so much that the horizon is very close. Even on my rig things get blurry, also when flying low:
When it happens to other planes also it's time to save your files I'm afraid.

When's the last time you defragged the HD FSX is on? Whenever FSX gets quirkey, that's the first thing I do. SOmething to consider.

I believe as Jan said if you zoom out on the plane a little more the landscape might look less blurry. I notice that on my setup as well. :)

I don't have FSX John B, so I can't be of much help. The aircraft looks pretty sharp, it's the background that is suffering. I agree with Jan that it may be time to do a good full backup just in case. :)

The Beaufighter is a beauty I recin the guys got a point BACK UP! BACK UP! BACK UP! I didnt and I lost 90% of my stuff because my back up HD was connected when my PC got hit and I lost both so now even if my PC so much as blinks I ran a backup.

Well thanks for all of the comments. One interesting thing is that the view looking out of the cockpit is good so it is just the spot view. Also, I defrag my hard drive twice a week and I am thinking about getting another hard drive dedicated 100% to FSX.

Cool shots John... that's what I did, raptor drive with FSX only and a external 2TB drive for backup.

Sorry to hear about your problem John,It may sound like overkill, but i run Advanced SystemCare and Smart Defrag at least twice a day maybe more depending on what i'm doing, but it works for me.:)

nice shots of the Beaufighter John.:)
