I bought the DreamFleet Baron 58 RXP without doing my research and then discovered that the Reality XP GPS won't work on my Win 7 64 system. Everything else seems to work OK.

Is there a way to "import" the default FS9 Garmin GPS 500 into the aircraft and have it interface with the Sandel SN3308 EHSI and/or the KI525 HSI?

I would exchange the RXP version for the Lite version of the Baron if I could, but I really don't want to shell out another $25 for the Lite version or $50 for the new RXP GPS.

Thanks!

It is not only possible it is essentially what the Baron Lite uses and what makes the DF Baron Lite compatible with 64 bit operating systems (The same principals also work with the Dreamfleet Bonanza A36). I made the changes myself quite a while back (although I now use the Friendly Panel GPS instead of the default GPS) and it works great for me.

You need to make some changes in the panel cfg found at Flight Simulator 9/Aircraft/DreamFleet Baron 58xp/panel/panel.cfg.(Be sure you make a backup of your original panel.cfg before beginning.) Then make these changes:

Everywhere you find this entry:

RealityXP_FL530XP_DFB58!GNS530

Change it to read:

fs9gps!gps_500

Now you can fly with GPS and without all the error messages.
