Hi Gang. My FS9 dedicated laptop gave out after three years. Instead of replacing the motherboard I decided to by a more powerful desktop. Of course, now comes the horrors of reloading add-ons (and in some cases having to repurchase). Anyway, I'm having a problem with add-on scenery, freeware in particular. In the past, I would add the freeware folder (e.g. KPBI), which includes a "texture" and "scenery" folder within it, to the add-on scenery folder in the main FS9 folder groupings. Then I would go into FS9, go into "scenery library", then select "add area". That would bring up the main FS9 folders, and I would select "addon scenery." In that folder, I'd highlight the folder in question (e.g. KPBI) push OK and it would add it to the scenery list. Then I'd just have to restart FS9 and the new scenery would be there. But now, with my new machine, when I highlight the folder (e.g. KPBI) and click "OK", it simply opens the folder and I see the "texture" and "scenery" folders. So instead of moving the KPBI folder to the addon scenery, it simply opens the folder to the two subfolders "texture" and "scenery". Anybody have any ideas. Is this a windows 7 thing, whereas my old computer was Vista. Very frustrating. I should have just fixed my old weaker laptop.
