I have recently installed a Program called Truesky that links my SBS Basestation to FSX. I have to say it is fantastic, however I have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer. The aircraft from Truesky appear blank (no textures). In the Q&A section on the Truesky site it says to de-select DX10. Unfortunately it seems that with SP2 installed the DX10 preview option is not there, so I cannot see how to disable this. Has anybody managed this in SP2 (without decreasing the viewing experience aswell). My second question is, when using Truesky, I would like to get rid of all the FSX generated AI traffic (from WOAI mostly), so that only the real traffic shows. Is this possible, and if so, is there a way to keep some aircraft on the ground for realism at the airports ? Thanks for any help.

If the dx10 preview option is not there then it is not being used. SP2 doesn't automatically use dx10 and if your hardware is not dx10 compatible then it won't give you the option.
So there is, as you say nothing for you to disable.
If you have aircraft showing with no textures, two likely causes may be either your system isn't up to it or the planes ae not correctly configured. In the aircraft cfg of each plane, there should be a section pointing to each texture folder. (flightsim.0, flightsim.1, etc).

Hi Ian,
Thanks for your input. I will check the textures, but I think the system should be OK. I have an i7-870, 8gb RAM (although less due running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit), GTX460 card. DXDIAG shows I am running DX11. For info, the textures
are fine with World of AI, only the ones that Truesky uses from the World of AI library are blank, so it must be something to do with Truesky I would guess. I have had a look around and there does not seem to be too much information, so I guess not any people are using it. Thanks anyway.

Hi,
Thanks for trying my program. I hope you enjoy it.
1) about the texture problem :
- I run FSX sp2 and the DX10 option can be found in the menu Options / Parameters / View (?) / Graphism.
- TrueSky creates the IA planes using the "title" line in the aircraft.cfg. You can see (and modify) the title used using the Livery tag of TrueSky menu.
- Check the aircraft.cfg. Eventually try to reload the WOAI package.
2) Suppress the traffic AI : did you try, in FSX options menu, to set the traffic cursors full to the left ?
Patrick.

Hi Patrick,
I have moved the AI Traffic slider to the left (as in, no AI Traffic). I think I found the problem. I had to point the liveries to different ones. I now have a selection of liveries
that work, including BA, LH, TK and a few others. I will need to go through them all, but in general I am getting there. Your program is absolutely fantastic. It still hasn't really
sunk in how good it is. To be able to look out of my office window watching the aircraft on approach to MUC, whilst actually flying alongside them in FSX is pretty cool !
For info, I have not altered any DX settings, so I guess I am still on DX11, and the liveries I have found work fine. Most seem to have 'DJC' in them. Don't know what that
means, maybe to do with the WOAI creator.
