Which aircraft ?
By "hopping" do you mean "bounces" ?
More details might be helpful.

Actually turning crash detection On will stop this. Now, you will just crash most of the time. A gear up landing is very hard to do in FS though not impossible. You need to be very low and slow with a very low descent rate.

emil97,
Take a look at this video at YouTube (which is not as annoying (due to stopping every 1/2 second)) of 737 and 747 doing belly landings. The secret is to use '4' type contact points (which are float type) so that the airplane belly can have cnt pts to 'land' on. They will cause sparks, so you need to comment out all of the Effects lines. Or you can use 'custom' effects* to go with the crash. Basically you add type '4' (float) point for each wing tip area, one around nose area, and on around tail area. You can comment out all the type '2' (scrapes) and leave only the type '1' (wheel) pts and the type '4' floats. Scrapes is what sim uses to determine 'crash'. So, just turn OFF crash detection for the belly landings. On replay, from tower view, you can see exactly where the pts are by puff of dirt (zoom in) so as to re-position them until you get them to 'work'. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKrXKnCcEdg . Have fun.

*: custom crash effects: Some of the 'interesting' belly landing effects: fx_DDfire.fx, fx_dirtspray_*.fx, fx_engfire.fx, fx_explosion.fx, fx_FlamingDebris.fx, x_OilFire*.fx, fx_trailingFlame*.fx, sfx_RumbleLoop.fx (you must make cnt pt sound type '4.0' (at end of cnt pt line(s) for this to work).
