Nothing really earth shattering here, just checking out the new computer, and some REX clouds, which i don't like this set to well.As for the computer,my jaw is still dragging on the floor.Everything maxed out, including bloom and water. No FSX tweeks,no nuttin and i'm getting 60-70 fps in ORBX NRM scenery

Fantastic shots. Love the Cessna 310, has been one of my favorites for many years. You have me drooling on the paint jog, and the Bendix King radio stack. Keep the pictures coming.

Alright Adam, looks like an excellent system, the only item that caught my eye was the "variable speed" "green" HDD. It seems that I read somewhere that the green drives were having problems....maybe they have addressed the issues now.Anyhow,NICE!:D:D:cool:

Thanks Jan and Gary.

I must say after all these years of simming, from the very start of the FS series that i can enjoy flying without tweaking this and that,or moving the sliders to the left,or the blurries, stutters or anything thing else.Everything in FS is full 100% including any software.I have two other Gateway computers now plus the one i had at work, and never had a problem with them. When i first went looking i bought an Asus gaming computer and took it back the next morning, what a pile of junk.Anyway enough about this.Take care fellas.:)

Looks like we can expect some "staggering" posts from you from now on... unlike the old ones that were merely "awsome". :) — Bob

great looking shots. wanna give it a real test? fly the aerosoft f-16 between the skyscrapers in flytampas kai-tak at mach one, and with the most demanding traffic addon running at 100 percent. get 30 or better in that scenario with never a stutter and all the terrain always fully loaded and crystal clear, and i'll finally be ready to say that theres a system that can run fsx, in spite of how incredibly badly written it was. personally i dont think that will ever happen. ever. not even ten years from now with a 5 thousand dollar system, just because the game was written so badly.

but i'd dearly love to be proven wrong! :-)

Phil,I have a lot more testing to do with with aircraft and scenery that gave me some problems before.Right now i still have a lot more scenery and aircraft to add on,but as of now it is way better, not even close to what i had before,or anything i ever had period.Have a great weekend my friend.:)

you too adam! and i dont wanna rain on your parade, im sure youll get more enjoyment than ever w this new system. but since it is so cutting edge, id really to to see feedback on just those sort of scenarios. to learn there finally is a computer that can play this game well would really encourage me to consider getting such a system.

Phil,i'll be glad to give you feedback on different scenarios.I'm sure there will be situations where it will bog down the computer, like thunderstorms and large city flying like you said.I agree, there probably isn't a computer made that will run FSX without some sort of hiccup. In this post i have the frame rate set at 35,and it's holding steady in the clouds.I still have all the programs running in the background yet,so we'll see.If it stays this way i will be a happy camper.Take care.:)

Looks pretty darn good to me Adam.:cool: I know setting a new system can take some time (and a few choice words). I need to get a new rig too, but I've decided to hold out until my retro RTW tour is finished. Most of that scenery won't work with FSX anyway, so I'll keep flying in heavy cloud cover between airports. :D Then I'll eventually upgrade to "Son of FSX" if it ever comes out.:)
