Cheers Sonic,
Very nice pics – thanks for sharing them.
I am curious though as to why you’ve made them in 16 bit color? ..why not 32 bit “true color?”
The reason I ask is that, although these pics are really great SS’s – the image quality is a little shallow – at-least viewed from this end.
One gets a sense of what FS2K2 “looks like,” but it falls short by a yard and a half I’m thinking.
I certainly don’t mean this as a criticism – more a question.
BTW/ My favorite of the lot (I’ve seen so far) – is the 3rd one down (Pg. 1) – “737 Orbit on final into Hilo intl. Hawaii, Viewed from across the bay. Trees give a photo effect here.”
This is true – especially viewing it in the full 1024x768. The only thing suggesting it’s virtual are the way the clouds render in 16 bit “high color.”
I’d personally love to see this shot in 32 bit color – for a real sense of the FS2K2 GI.
If I’m understanding correctly also – this is all default scenery in FS2K2?
Thanks again for sharing your pics though – very sweet!

Hi Ikarusina'
Thanks so much for the comments. The pic you are on about is also my favourite (It is in this months screenshot contest) It's not getting anywhere though, There are some far better pics, and I think thats why.
Yes I used the default scenery and I am preparing some more pics in 32 bit colour, They will be ready in a couple of weeks.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of difference when viewed in 1024 size though. The performance of the sim does degrade slightly in 32 bit though.
I will certainly try and re-do that tower view pic in 32 bit again. You are right of course, the clouds do let it down a little.
Thanks again and keep an eye on the site because as soon as I get enough pics and some time I will be posting some completely new 32bit pics up.
Regards
