Since posting a thread a few days ago, I still cant upload, I have been trying for days ( at different times ) to upload a file to this site using the web browser upload method , but it will not upload. It uploads a few Kb's and stops. I dont see the point in doing any more repaints if I cant upload and share them!!. I have made sure there are no spaces in the zip file name. Any ideas!!

The choice of file name really cannot be related to difficulty in doing the actual upload, so ignore that red herring.

What browser are you using? Perhaps there is an issue there. It may have something to do with security software you are running, which detects a transfer of data from your computer to a remote site to be a security issue.

Have you tried the ftp upload method? If you're really stuck, you could probably email the files to me for now until you sort out the problem.

I havnt tried the ftp upload method, because I wasnt sure what to do. I am using IE8 web browser and Microsoft Security Essentials. I did manage to upload one file to avsim ( the first time I tried ), but havnt been able to since.

I tried uploading at "FTP root at www.flightsim.com" using drag and drop, but winzip wouldn't let me with a popup saying it wasn't installed by someone with adminstrator privileges, but when installed it didnt ask for administrators permission.

"Microsoft Security Essentials" ... I bet that is your problem. You probably a made a security setting that prevents uploads. Since you say it starts and then stops after only a few kb get uploaded this sounds just like security software detecting something it thinks is a problem and stopping it.

As far as I know there isn't a setting that prevents uploads on Microsoft Security Essentials and if it was stopping the upload I would have thought that it would have warned me that something was trying upload data?
