"You made a...time machine...out of a Delorean???" from "Back to the Future"

John, did you say that they are still making these? I understand Delorean passed away (rip), he was an automotive legend, designer of the GTO "Goat". It was his daily driver he put together himself for commuting to work, then he and some buddies of his slipped the design into the production assembly line, it was a totally unauthorized production. However they were such a success they continued building them. Most people don't know that, he was the father of the GTO in addition to the Delorean.

I like the Porsche 917.

It was very easy to drive. But absolutely terrifying...640 horses unleashed at 8500RPM. What a feeling ;)

There have been several test drives of the Gallardo in which they say that it is extremely tame and easy to drive on the track, that is not only is it easy to drive it resists spinning out due to its' amazing balance. While one of the latest Ferrari Scuderia's (street legal racer) took more skill to drive, and the Porsche GT2 (?) (2 wheel drive) took even more skill to drive. If I had the $$ I'd consider the Lambo for that reason. If I were to get a Porsche turbo I'd get the all wheel drive version as it is fully planted on the ground on the corners even in wet weather.

Some years ago I was working like a maniac and trying to buy a 1989 Porsche 930 turbo modified to reach 450 HP, the acceleration would give me whiplash--heehaaw! A fireman friend of mine was so upset about my trying to buy that powerful two wheel drive Porsche because of its' tendency to spin out that I thought he was going to do a bodyguard tackle to protect me from it!

I'm on the verge of possibly selling my Cadillac and maybe buying a 92 or 93 or better Corvette with a manual transmission, just to get around in. The economy has been terrible. With regards to speed, I just want to go faster in the air, right now I can only do that with MS FS. If I could get a plane that would be so great.

How is your flight training? I have been so busy I have had almost no time to study or fly flight simulator. :(

It's good thanks. Very intense, massive amounts of information. I got an average of 92% in my last two sets of exams which I was quite pleased with. Not much time for FS these days! But hopefully I'll get the real thing soon :)

I'm really happy for you, sounds like an incredible career ahead of you. Do airliners start recruiting at this early stage? I've heard that BA pays exceptionally well, but carriers like SAS are very pleasant but not sure about the pay. Friend of mine has been flying out of Hong Kong in midsize Airbuses, he transitioned from the USAF to FEDEX with no problem at all.

Yeah airlines like Easyjet, Ryanair and Flybe are very interested in graduates from my flying school, and regularly ask for pilots from here. At the end of training I'll have around 250 hours, instrument rating, multi crew cooperation and jet orientation. Getting the ATPL is one thing, getting a job is another ;)

After 2001 there were some pilots who were furloughed for 7 or 8 years, some of them went into other careers and did not want to change back. Some had the time to become nurses and other professional careers. If I strike it rich and reach ownership of a Learjet or King Air I think I'll hang out a plaque and try making money with it.

Repair? I think that's destined to become a roadside Maccy D's -- the props are already bent into the classic arches; they just need to be sprayed yellow...

Say Adam, does the word "GEAR" mean anything to you? http://serve.mysmiley.net/happy/happy0071.gif (http://www.mysmiley.net) Is a very useful thing when you want to end your flight with a more or less succesful landing.(on land that is) You should try it someday.

A little known fact about many species of birds is that the female is normally the dreary colored of the two and that the male is normally brightly colored. In the above picture we can see that for this species the male is also much smaller than the female. After a long and precise courtship dance in the air they will copulate and in a few months give birth. As we can see the female is in the middle of giving birth as the the tale feathers of the infant bird can be clearly seen. The male will assist in the birthing process and then will fly off on his own; the two will not see each other again till next mating season.

Adam, you did very well  I see only one prop is "arched" now. I still advise you our 5 years training program. :D:D:D:D Oh, and climb into the tailsection, jump around a little and all will be OK again.

I changed my desktop btw: Also very orange, but this is a KLM DC-3.
