Guys this thing is all but Level-D quality, a true hardcore 737NG 'series' and you expect it to be free. The 747 was their beginner project, this thing is a true alternative to PMDG's upcoming NG series. It's amazing to read a full hardcore package on the level of Level-D consisting of the 737-600/700/800/900/BBJ/BBJ2/BBJ3 with customizable winglets/eyebrows/engines and you guys dismiss it like it's a Perfect Flight package is truly amazing...
Seeing the climate around FS9 development these days I didn't expect to see a thread like this. We don't have too much of this type of stuff coming out for FS9 anymore...
On another note I've purchased this outstanding effort and all that's needed is a few bug fixes/liveries and she's good to go (oh, yea there's a repaint kit included). A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to fly a real 744 simulator. This add-on is one of the most realistic flying birds I have yet to tackle in the FS skies (no she doesn't fly like a 744 but the handling from what I experienced is more solid for the type of aircraft this is than most other efforts).

the only freeware 737 close to the iFly's level of detail is the tinmouse 737-200.
there is no freeware 737NG at the iFly level of detail.
an excellent first payware offering by iFly IMO.

$60? A pittance, considering that STILL TODAY if you buy all the existing PMDG variants it will cost more....and the PMDG offerings are years old!

Well, when you have a family of 5 getting by on 1 income, $60 is more than a pittance. But, thats my problem. Im a big FS9 supporter, and am happy to see a quality product developed for our sim. I hope the sales numbers are thru the roof.
Hopefully down the road if it's a bit cheaper, I may grab it.

This is it. By far the best payware 737NG IMHO. Many others agree. Go with iFly, you won't regret it.

I have ... FSX).
if she/he can get them to work with FSX ... for some reason he/she posted a FSX Q in the FS9 forum.

This was the best $60 I've paid for an FS2004 add-on in years. If you can afford it, you won't be sorry.

Consider your options with current payware 737NG's out there.
On the one hand, you have the PMDG model. A great exterior model, flighty dynamics, and systems. Not to mention that you have the amazing PMDG support and free liveries, but its not without its flaws (2D switches in the VC, no IRS simulation, limited configuration manager). I've had both the 6/7 and 8/9 models since their release for FS9 and they made a pretty good intermediate aircraft. All of them are reasonably priced and it helps with the free support and liveries, as well as x amount of people who own these aircraft and nearly know there inner workings better than PMDG themselves.
Then in the other, you have the Ariane 737 models. All of which are HARD CORE simulation with IRS simulation, full simulated hydraulic and electric systems, air con simulation, a fully functional GWPS, WRX and Traffic radar, pretty much a full on representation of a real-world 737NG. However with the Ariane model, you have to buy each variation on their own, rather than all together in one package. And this only adds to Ariane's biggest issue; cost. Along with the crazy high price you have to pay for the base package of each aircraft, you have to pay for updates, support, livery packages, and say something happens to your computer, you lose all of your FS data including aircraft and such, but you still have your order number and such, Ariane will still make you pay full price to get it all back. So unless you actually fly 737's for a top tier airline company, this is probably one to avoid.
Then here comes iFly with their model. A repaint kit with the install package, a full configuration manager which includes "eyebrows" and winglets options, load managers, engine selection, and an excellent online support system. IMO, this aircraft has the best aspects of both the Ariane and PMDG products wrapped up in a nice little package. You have the internals of the Ariane a/c (IRS simulation, fully functional hydraulic/electric/air systems) and the beauty of the PMDG model. I say $60 is about right for a product of this quality.

I'm going to wait til it goes Freeware. Besides RFP was payware. To me RFP is darn good for freeware.

I can guarentee you none of these addons that RK1Hatty mentioned will ever go freeware, at least not for a very long time. Also, both the Araine and PMDG models have problems with the exterior model IMO. PMDG: Flaps don't look like NG flaps, winglets way too big and fat, and the engines don't look right...Araine: Winglets have WAY to much of a curve and they go completely flat at the top instead of curving inward and the Flaps also don't look proper for the NG...iFly737: NONE OF THESE. They got everything correct with this model. Plus you have tons of repaints already and an amazing forum with tons of people who are committed to their product. As a person who has used all three of these products, I feel I can express such an opinion honestly and not irrogantly.
For those who still use the PMDG or Araine model, cool. I'm just expressing my personal opinion. Nothing against anyone else.
Hope this sheds some insight for you Raptor22. Any of these models will satisfy you, but the iFly will the best and give you the most realistic experience.
