The idea is similar to the "Age of Flightsimmers?" post. I am interested in seeing where my fellow flightsimming fans hail from!
Me, I'm from Christchurch, in New Zealand (NZCH is the ICAO code for Christchurch Int'l).

Hmm, the western PA yankees are filing in, may as well add to the collection.

Home base is McVille (p37), a small but friendly grass strip, but I live almost exactly in between McVille and Rock (9g1 - formerly West Penn; now you could say formerly an airport :-lol - a new runway is being built there). I live just outside Natrona Heights.

A lot of PIT traffic comes over this area. Either a visual approach following the Allegheny River or just a coincidence.

Love the small restaraunt at Zelienople!

Hi Ray,

yes...last time i was over by the "Rockport" it was raining so hard i thought the entire runway had washed away! Love crusing over the allegheny valley with my mom (a Natrona Heights native and a Highlands '73 grad!)- very scenic especially in fall. Try "The Runway" restaurant at Butler County sometime- great views and a little more traffic! happy flying

LAST EDITED ON Nov-02-01 AT 10:01PM (EDT)[p]Don't intend to make you feel 'older,' but I'll be a 2003 (30 years later-wow) graduate of Highlands. Did you know they're tearing down the old football stadium at the Middle School? (used to be Har-Brack H.S. - my mom grad. from there in '67) The new stadium is going to be built inside the track I think, and the Middle School is being renovated/added-on to.

LET'S GO PENS! LET'S GO PENS!

As if losing Kovy and Mario for a month wasn't bad enough, we've lost Marty for a year! :'( I can't wait until the Pens play the Caps. I want to see Kasparaitis hit Jagr so hard that #68 is out of the Caps lineup for a year due to a groin (or shoulder) injury :-lol I'm sure at least a few Pittsburgh fans would appreciate that last comment.

EDIT: By the way, if you happen to be flying around here and hear the callsign "Cessna 5432H," don't get any 'ideas.' There's only a small chance it would be me (it's a rental at McVille). There's about a 25% chance if the voice you hear doesn't sound as deep as all the other voices on the radio (there are 2 or 3 teens taking lessons at P37). I just like that plane a lot. It's the plane I made my long x-country and took my PPL checkride in.

I use other English based airports such as Manchester or London Heathrow to integrate with the large amount of traffic generated at these airports.

I hope flightsimming will become truly interactive one day. Our thoughts are with New York + America at this time.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-10-01 AT 04:16PM (EDT)[p]Northern suburbs, of Pittsburgh, an obscure village in the hills not far from Wexford, I cant give you a name because I cant give personal info at my age. It's right in the landing pattern of KPIT(but there are closer airports) so I get to see 757's landing every day!
PS- purduepilot, what is it like living in the same town as :-eek Christina Aguliera :-eek ?

Unless I missed it I'm the first one from North Dakota here ;-)

I fly out of the Jamestown Regional Airport (KJMS) and live in Buchanan, North Dakota. If you look at the LOC BC RWY13 approach for KJMS and find the BUCHA intersection, you've found me!

Regards and Happy Holidays to all,
Scott
