Been looking for an Air Force One VC-25A addon for FSX lately. I found the POSKY freeware VC-25A (http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=110276) that is on the file library here and it's very nice but it doesn't have a virtual cockpit so it's a no go for me.
Is there a way to merge the default FSX 747 cockpit with this addon VC-25A, and would it work properly?
Also, does another VC-25A addon exist for FSX that has a virtual cockpit (freeware or payware)?
thanks.

DontWorry,
Mister, you just opened a 7 yr old can of worms. This 'Posky VC' (FS9 or FSX) question (battle?-has been beaten to death in all the other forums) is just not going to 'happen'. Why? Because the 'VC' is 'BUILT IN' into the model (including Posky model(s)). So, No VC (due to model) is TERMINAL. No tweaking or mods is possible. So, the 'plug in' VC won't work. So, forget it, OK? OK!
But if you don't believe me, go ahead and try this same question at other forums-you'll find out. In fact, if you go to Posky's forum, just the mere mention of 'VC' or 'FSX' will render your post either moved, or deleted. Why? Because (1). Posky does not have a VC, and (2). is for FS9 ONLY and not 'supported' for/in FSX. (Guess they just got tired of this same question poping up-so I don't blame them).

Edit: Just went and peeked at 'VC-25A' files. It DOES seem to be a 'POSKY, 747, V4, with VC'. So I guess you COULD use the default (FSX?) 747 panel (or just the vc windows from VC-25A panel) in FSX (due to gauges problem). You might get your wish after all. (Now I go try it myself (hehe)). Good Luck.

Don't even bother trying. To merge a VC, first thing you need is a genuine FSX model from Posky (from their site, packages starting with OSX..).
For the 747-200 and the VC-25A these MDL-packages don't exist (yet ?).
Only Posky 747's worth trying the VC-merge are the -400 and the -8F.
Greetz,
Wim
