I need to take the show on the road. I spend many more days in hotel rooms then at home so I need a small controller to pack in my luggage. At home I use CH yoke and X52 but these aren't practical on the road.

Is there an adequate gamepad or small (Low profile) joy stick that won't take up half my suitcase?

An Xbox 360 controller that works with Windows might help. It pretty much has all
essential buttons and controls you'll need to fly all types of airplanes.

I use one of them for some aircraft in fsx and it does work well :)
