I have several payware airports in which AI aircrafts are not visible at day.- It happens only when the ground aircraft shadow settings option is checked.- Strangely, I doesnt affect Ultimate Traffic 2 AI aircraft.-
When aircraft shadows ir disabled, all is OK, but is not a fix I consider, as it is unrealistic to see an aircraft float over a runway without its shadow.-
Is there another way of fix it ?
Thanks

Hola, the reason UT2 traffic isn't affected by ground shadows is they are using FSX native aircraft models. Your other traffic, probebly WOAI or others are using FS9 models. No other solution except to use native FSX aircraft models for AI.

I am afraid that doesnt explain why it happens only in certain payware airports, such as Aerosoft and Tropical Sim, and it doesnt at the mayority of them.-

I would try contacting the author's of those sceneries - as your issue seems to be related only to them.

If it is an issue which has been reported by others, perhaps an update or a work around is available thru the authors.

Worth a try?

It has to do with the use of scasm for the textured surface of pavement, FSX SP2 and non-FSX SDK compiled aircraft models.

Everything was fine during FSX SP1, but FSX SP2 broke the backward compatibility for using scasm and non-FSX SDK compiled models.

Your choice is to use another scenery, only use FSX SDK compiled aircraft or downgrade to FSX SP1.

I have not heard of another fix/work-around although I haven't been following this issue for some time either.

Rather technically, but a very clear explanation.- I had some responses from the airport developers, but none of them explained the real cause as you did.- This is the first time I got real information about my problem.-
Thanks
