Got back in several days ago after visiting my ill sis & my mom for Mother's Day, no doubt her last. Am sure that mom knew I was there. It's been a long illness. Will be heading back out soon, as mom continues to slip fast & I want to be there. S'ok, friends... it's part of the circle of life & her release will be a blessing.

Before I departed I acquired Mike's magnificent ME-262 package, the one with the recon model (imagine that :) ). What a smooth pussycat! Most pilots loved them... when the engines worked. :o Flight Replicas did them right.

My traditional 1st flight, from KCDR, Chadron to KBFF, Scottsbluff & making use of my own FEX designed waters, clouds & sky (the Artist VFR series). Didn't take long to get there & the flight was pastoral in the early evening...

A quick note of appreciation, friends, for your well thoughts. Mom finally let go this evening, a blessing really, after several years of illness. Am relieved, truly.

My sympathies are with you, it is better to put aside her suffering and remember your mother they way she was before.

On a side note, these forums (after the recent changes) are continuing to give the impression that members are still signed in a full hour after we sign out, as after my last posting above it appeared I was still signed in. As Darrell/drobson noted previously, his account does not do this, though he is a moderator. Others members have been observing the same, the "green light" by our forum name continuing to show for 60 minutes after we sign out. Am missing the "All cookies cleared" message we used to get when we sign out. The appearance of still being signed in for an hour after we sign out can be somewhat confusing at times to other members. Thanks.

Very sad to hear this news my friend,I understand perfectly how it can be a blessing for release from a long illness. It hurts terribly to see someone we love suffer and can do nothing but watch. Our prayers are with you and your family David.:(:(

I'm sorry about your mother David. Everything happens for a reason as you have stated...I had a similar case two years ago so I know how it is...

Went through the same thing about a year ago.It may sound cruel but is was a blessing she passed rather than sitting there watching her slowly deteriorate.
