I wanted to create a Flybe flight plan with departures that was accurate from Birmingham (EGBB) airport. I have used times and Flight numbers from EGBB. I used TT Tools to compile the Flight plan BGL which has been compiled successfully. :)

But now it’s loaded, when I park at a gate in EGBB there are no Flybe aircraft there. If I park at a gate at Glasgow for instance the aircraft are there (Glasgow is on the Flight Plan) my big question is should there be flights into EGBB as well as out of EGBB on the flight plan? (It would make sense) If so how many would I need to add to get it to work? i.e. would just one flight be enough?

Cheers for any help

what active percentage did you use for the flight plan ??

also you can check the bgl by using AI flight planner which you can find here

I use AI flight planner for all my custom flight plans as its very easy to use :)

Hi Gandy

Traffic is set at 1%, I 've added flights into EGBB now and the aircraft have appeared, but now some of then ask for IFR to Birmingham, which is bugging me.

when the destination airport is the same as the departure that is a fault in the way you have set up the flight plan and the compiler is trying its best to fix the issue. If you add a return leg for the aircraft all will be ok and that issue wont happen.

here is an example of a flight plan i made for EGHH to EGPF. This is based on a one week flight plan for one aircraft ( It will fly the plan every day of the week and every 7 days it will repeat the flight plan )

AC#1,G-4NDY,1%,Week,IFR
(1) 0/07:10,0/08:21,140,R,223,EGPF

(26) 6/09:00,6/10:11,140,R,223,EGHH
(27) 6/17:10,6/18:21,140,R,223,EGPF
(28) 6/19:00,6/20:11,140,R,223,EGHH

The way to look at it is.. if it goes there make it come back or go to another airport and the time/week setting is very important when it comes to how often the ai flight plan is flown, your choices are 1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 6hr, 8hr, 12hr, 24hr and a week which means it will fly the flight plan based on that.

Interesting, what does the "R" stand for? as I have "F" in that position!

Thanks

well i am new to the flight plan stuff but i think it means Repeat and F means final as in the aircraft could time out.

Edit silly me.. ignore that.. F = Flight plan number, R = Aircraft reg number
