Can't seem to PM you a response to your questions. Here you go.

These are my graphical settings.

All sliders/options maxed/checked except:
DX10 Preview - Off
Lens Flare - Off
Light Bloom - Off
Advanced Animations - On
nHancer - 16x AA plus a bunch of other settings
AA - Off (done with nHancer)
Filtering - Trilinear
Aircraft self shadows - Off
Autogen - Very Dense
Mesh Reso 10m
Texture Reso 7cm
Airline Traffic - 50%
Gen Aviation - 50%
Airport Vehicles - High
Road Vehicles - 20%*
Ships - 40%
Boats - 40%

Every system is different so I advise against just using someone else's fsx.cfg file.

Here are the FSX fsx.cfg tweaks I use, and the category they are under.

[Display]
...
TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=90
UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=35
WideViewAspect=True

[GRAPHICS]
...
TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096
HIGHMEMFIX=1

[TERRAIN]
...
TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=2000

[BufferPools]
PoolSize=5000000

Thats it.
Good Luck,

p.s - A "Named" defrag of the FSX hard drive and maintenance thereof with OO Defrag (http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/products/oodefrag/index.html) is in my opinion the single most beneficiary "thing" I do to keep FSX stutter free and highest possible FPS. I am sorry to recommend something that costs a little bit, but OO Defrag is by far the best defrag utility I have found for FSX purposes, the Microsoft built in and free utilities seem to come up short in my experience.
