At those altitudes I would of had my landing gears retracted, for safety reasons. The fact that those pilots, including the ones on the old 737 decided to do a low fly by at that altitude with no landing gear down shows that decision making needed to be worked on back in the days.

sorry about bumping topics but this video seems like its set in some south african or east arabian area that would allow you to do this...to see the dc-10 likr that is amazing...has tyler seen it??

I think the pilot should have had the gear down for that one, actually. He ws flying down a runway and so if he had touched the ground the gear would have stopped an accident.

I bet all sorts of "too low, pull up" warnings go off when pilots do these sorts of fly by's.

Its in Rio de janeiro, Brazil. During an air show in the 90s.
The DC-10 is Varig Airlines
The 737-200 is Vasp Airlines
In Australia Quantas 747 used to take part in air show also, there´s a video of one landing in a dust runway in the desert full of people and viewers around.
