Hi there,

I've been searching on the internet to find out the solution to stop FSX crashing when using the mouse (I know other people were having the same problem).

I'm just wondering if there has been any fix for it? It's annoying flying 2/3 hours and then having FSX crash on you just when you are about to land  It happened to me 4 times today. It happens when using the menu bar or right clicking. Mostly right clicking though.

I came across this while looking up on it:

A few replies down, there seems to be an update/FSX SP3(?) that fixes this issue. Is this the only way to do it? I noticed someone saying there that it would overwrite addons if installing that update - I have a few so I wouldn't like to have to install them again or anything.

So once again, if there has been any updates or solutions to fix this problem, then i'd appreciate it very much if you could help out!

thanks

You don't indicate what operating system you are using, but if it's Windows 7, then this may apply.

That link solved my issues aswell a few weeks ago, just a note though.

Place the downloaded UIAutomationCore.DLL in you MAIN FSX folder (Install Path), I also put it where the FSX.CFG is located.

Then go to the system32 folder and rename the uiautomaioncore to uiautomationcorebackup fore safe keeping. It worked for me and I havent had an issue since.
