I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of Open Falcon, I gather it's a modified version of Falcon 4. Does anyone know what the differences are between Falcon 4, Falcon 4 AF and Open Falcon? Just curious to know if its any better than either of them.

Good question and where can you get it?

Open Falcon is more advanced than Allied Force and the graphics are better. The avionics are in general more realistic. Fx. you have to work more with the radio, datalink.
I think it's the best version of Falcon, but it can be difficult to set up for multiplayer.
The only place to find it is on torrent sites. For me it doesn't work on Win 7 though.
There should soon come a newer and better version of Falcon - BMS 2, Dark Falcon. It should have DX9 and Win 7 support.

Cool thanks for clearing that up, too bad about win7 though I just upgraded to that. Guess I'll have to wait until they make a version that works on it. It's nice to see that the Falcon 4 series is still going, I got the first one then AF when that came out and I still love it! Graphics arent much to look at anymore but they sure put that sim together well.

regarding win 7 - i just tested freefalcon 5 (yet another falcon variant) on win 7 x64 and it works with no problems. this leads me to believe that open falcon works as well on win 7.
it didn't work when i had a nvidia 8800 gts 512mb, now i have a ati 5870 card. so i think it depends on your graphic card if it will work or not.
