View Full Version : Request: POSKY A330-200 JetStar
I would love it if someone could tell me where to find a Jetstar repaint of the POSKY A330-200 (with the correct engine variant, please; GE, PW, or RR). I'm looking for the silver paint scheme; not the white. A picture is attatched to this post.
Thanks for any help-I don't necessarily need someone to make a new one if there is already one out there, so just let me know!
Thanks!

Heres the link to the base model:
http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=TOM330.ZIP
And heres the jetstar texture for the base model:
http://www.flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=134391

Okay, not to be rude, but...
To help me, you'll first need to read the topic description.:D
I am reffering to the PROJECT OPENSKY A330-200. NOT the A330s that Thomas makes. I have already tried his texture and it doesn't even work for me. Thanks for trying, though...

I might be able to help you out....like David said we need to know which simulator you need this for. FS9 and FSX textures use different file extensions.
Also, there are some great videos on youtube on how to repaint these aircraft on your own. I'm not saying you need to do it yourself, just saying I started painting them about 2 weeks ago and MAN it's addicting!
I use all the freeware programs to do it, DXTBmp and Paint.net. I can't convince my wife to let me spend $999.99 for photoshop...for my hobby :o
The really cool thing about repainting your own aircraft is, you can make whatever planes you like or others you can't seem to find via download from someone else. I wish I would have started making my own earlier. I have a bunch of aircraft that I've searched for that it took a LONG time to hunt them down. If I would have made them from the beginning I would have saved a lot of time in the long run. Plus I can personalize them...i.e. US Flag, extra logos, text etc...as I see fit.
Good luck!

I have said this before and I will say it again :D
Always check the paint kit before you commit to a paint !
I know the Posky Airbus paint kit and I have done a few Jetstar repaints, and for someone who i just starting out repainting there are a few potential headaches ahead .
I do not mean to discourage you from doing this paint , In fact give it a go and you will see for your self what I am trying to describe , but, always do your self the favour of knowing what you will be working with before you commit to a reply
That way painting remains enjoyable to do and not a chore because you said you would :p

I'm confused, why did you quote me? I said I would be willing to help out. I never committed to painting it for him. I still have no clue what version he wants the repaint for? I see no where that I promised to do it.
GENTLEMEN, GENTLEMEN, PLEASE!
haha, ok...
Sorry about that, I don't know why I didn't say, but I'm looking for a FSX model, not FS2004.
ALSO: PLEASE give me the sites where you found those freeware paint editing tools, and a good site that explains how to use those tools in-depth. I can't believe there might be something out there that I could finally use...
(I'm used to not being able to do anything, I have FSX Standard w/SP1.):(

Do both of these files work for FSX?
