First off, for those knowing of my situation & missed my recent post on the "Pregnant Guppy" thread, I've recently talked on the phone with my sister. She is now saying that I should hold off from driving all of the way back to Port Angeles again for the moment, as it appears that our mother will soon be able to transfer nursing homes from Port Angeles to one closer to my sister in Portland, Oregon. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/cool/cool-smiley-015.gif That will be great! So, am not out my front door [this] morning afterall as I thought I would be just 24 hours ago. If mom is able to be transfered then I'll visit her there as she adjusts & stay with my sister for just a week or two. Looks like things are going to work out better than anticipated.

So, now having some extra bucks that was going to be immediately used for traveling & fuel, had got back around to finally deciding on a set of tubes to fly. The decision has taken 16 months! :o Am not a real pilot so something enjoyable & not too demanding to fly instrument-wise with great flight dynamics, good looks & fine sound. Am thinking I've filled the bill...

There are issues with the VC as well as having no 2D panel in some models though the cures are being promised soon (almost getting to be waaaaaaaaaaaaay too common to be hearing within the FS development community these days, imo). I purchased the set through Just Flight & there is a good amount of info on their support part of their website to have to wade through to get up to speed on it.

Bottom line so far: .. ~ boxcar like ~ ...:)

Nice one David, my friend - Like those shots...:) Will keep your family in my prayers in these times...hope things will work out...

Didn't recognize you in the Airbus! Used to seeing you in the Mix Master, and other types of aircraft like that....like the new suit as people say...:)

Better than hearing, "Is that you? Thought so - what's it been, 10, 15 years? Thought I recognized the suit..." - Quoted from one of my favorite Herman cartoons...

John- Many thanks. 'Tis been a real roller coaster these last several months. Your prayers have been & are most appreciated & respected, bud.

Rory- Caku luta ogna mani owiakicapo, mita tonska. Pilamayayelo.

Simon- Heya... glad you like the new desktop pic. :) Yes, the F-lite versions. Am not learned enough to handle the full meal deal yet.

Phil- Thanks, guy. That last one did turn out pretty well for a night shot, eh? Amped the light a tad, the contrast boosted even less & then increased the gamma about 5%. Works!

Conner- Appreciated. Lots of fun so far. May have to see if a real flight may be captured & shared, along the likes of Simon, Andrew & others.

Jan- Cousin, my online translators are letting me down. The Afrikaans one said, "that zie out als one vor nothing no-one afraid not plane."; The Dutch one said, "That to see from as vor nothing nie nobody nie frightened nie plane." So I kind of get your drift: Am not afraid, indeed.

Bruce- Hi guy! Been a while. Thanks for the good words & for stopping in to have a peek, man. She is a beast, for sure. Good manners though... & fun!

Gary- Oh yeah, that first one could fool many at first, especially if they don't flight sim. Sometimes the magic happens like with that first one.

Leo- I think what gives it away more than anything is when you begin to really look at the cirrus clouds. They just look rather mushy or something, one of REX's weaknesses, imo. Thanks, my friend.

Paul- You betcha. :D It's been a while since flying the heavies. Feels rather good to hop in & lumber around the area for a change.

Larry- Yes, for an airliner the model 500 has just the right width, length, fuscilage diameter... everything works together aesthetically. And yes, the situation may well be working out well now, thank you for the positive vibe.

Adam- Face it: am a little strange no matter what I'm flying! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/lachen/laughing-smiley-016.gif You know it's true, man, hee heeee! Glad you took a look, guy.
