Well a close call on this trip... Running out of fuel at 20,000 feet with no civilisation for thousands of miles around isn't ideal!!

This flight takes us on our last cold dark leg of the tour as we fly to the tip of Russia. To of crashed now would of been a night mare and an end to the world tour, read on and find out what happens...

Good job Russian aircraft are made of nothing but steel girders! :p Beautiful low light pictures. Though I feel that your wheel chocks may have something to do with your lower than expected fuel economy! Looking forward to the next leg. :)

This leg was a good one Steve. A real white knuckle experience with the fuel problem, but you did a good job finding a place to put down. Swell shots over a very barren part of Russia. :cool::cool::eek:

haha I love that saying, the landing was rough but thankfully nothing fell off.

The fuel flown in from Murmansk has made my virtual cheque book broke, I guess I'll have to do some paid-tours over Alaska to make a bit of extra dosh ha.
