did i install it wrong??

the other day i tried to install simon o smotherly's tiger airways, and today i downloaded the fronteir airlines repaint for the PAB A319 but after adding the flightsim.xx thing i noticed that neither of the ones i added are even there all that is there is the us airways OC

here are some screenshots to show what problem im having. The first one shows that the they are not listed...the next show that they are added to the folder... and the last one shows the aircraft.cfg for the PAB A319....

can someone help me with this...

From what I can see your Tiger airways repaint is calling for the iae model but you have pasted the textures in your cfm model

would that mean id have to find this IAE model or find a different a319 from project airbus?

No It seems you have the iae as the one aircraft that is showing is an iae engined aircraft.
Where are the texture folders for that aircraft ? , and can you put a screen shot of the config for it up ?

they are included in the 2nd screenshot one is texture.9v-TRA and texture.frontier..

the aircraft cfg is in the 3rd one...there is another paB a319...maybe im putting them in the wrong airbus one...

so your US airways OC airbus is in a different folder .?

for the Frontier repaint , try changing the Ui TYPE , so it reads
ui type=
Then see what happens

For the Tiger repaint I would try moving the texture folder to the PA Airbus US airways folder and edit that config .

This is so much easier when you are sat in front of the screen of the pc in question:D

Gonna check your screenshots again , dont be surprised if i come back and edit this:D

hey bud the frontier works...ill try the same with the tiger...

tiger loads up but when i click on fly it says aircraft initiation error

well it looks like the US airways and frontier airlines are the cfm model , which you have, but the Tiger airways is an iae model , so it looks like you need the A319 IAE model from here

Then you should be good to go
If you want to look at the textures then change the model=iae, to model=cfm
It may work but i have no clue what the engines will look like :eek:

no rush there buddy...i can see that tiger at least loads up but wont load into flight sim...

but it would be nice to have that plane installed

Do a search in the library for a PA airbus a319 complete with model , there will be plenty .
You just end up with a repaint you dont want , but you get the model and you can add your own textures :D

In the Tiger Airways one try changing sim=pa319-v2524 to sim=pa319-cfm56. You're .cfg entry is calling for an .air file that isn't available.

I would do as Mark has said and locate and download a complete IAE model.

Jim, is also correct in that the cfg is trying to locate an air file that doesn't exist.

If all else fails pm me your e mail and I will send the complete package.

BTW how do you organise your aircraft folder.

You can have both the CFM and IAE versions in one folder and just give it the name Project Airbus A319. You can then edit the aircraft.cfg to point to whatever model you require.

This is what mine looks like.

I just find it easier to have all my textures in one aircraft folder rather than dotted about all over the place.
