Has anyone tried Ultimate Airport Environment (FSX)? It is supposed to improve all default airports in FSX. Does it seem to be worth the money?

I just bought this a few weeks ago and am very satisfied. It adds a nice, realistic touch to airport buidlings, jetways, vehicles. Even though I use REX and some others, this adds more. I would recommend it .

Does it add airport activity with airplanes/jets? I want air port activity but don't want it in the air. Just see them all at their gates or moving around on the ground. If they take off, it wont affect my FPS.

For aircraft activity you'd be better off with WOAI. Low impact FPS with decent AI levels, and free.

I purchased the program and I like most of what it has done with one exception, most of the GA hangers I have seen are metal and these are made of wood, overall it is a nice addition though. Just my opinion.

Most of the texture replacements offered in individual sets by other devs, such as clouds, runways, taxiways, contrails.... so on and so forth, are all included in REX for one comparatively low price. REX is arguably the best, and inarguably the most popular.

Rex is also coming up with another update soon, that appears to be Cloud Shadows with FSX. So far, all updates are free too, can't beat that! :) I've been an extremely satisfied REX customer, and it is by far my favorite add-on in the software category.

WOAI? Never heard of it, do you happen to have a link?

Go to FlightSim.com, our parent forum, and search for the hundreds of World of AI (WOAI) files.

Their site is at: http://www.world-of-ai.com/ where you can also get the installer.

I'm under the impression that REX2 does NOT add textures for buildings and
hangers, and doesn't re-locate misplaced buildings and hangers?

Ultimate Airport Environment DOES do these things.

Is that correct?

Do framerates take a big hit in this Ultimate Airport Environment? I'm looking for a general improvement for the default airports but framerates are already at the minimum acceptable limits for me in some busy ones.

Cheerio,
Nicholas.
