well alot happened since the last time I posted, got sick for a week and my other install of FSX decided to just up and crash when I tried to install and run the VFR GENX.

So here is the next one in the series, scattered clouds.

every game did something different to simulate scattered clouds, it wasnt untill FS2K4 that we got true 3d clouds.

I finally got Flight Unlimited 2 and 3 in the mail but as you can see FU2 is in polish and I dont know a single word of it, so its hard to tell if I have everything up to the max.

Once again I'm now missing Pro Pilot series and the Fly! series along with FS2000 Pro.

If you have any of those games, I used 1024x768, graphics to the max, 1/8th scattered clouds at 4000ft, autumn scenery at Meigs (if avalible) with the Learjet (if avalible)

Speaking of the aircraft for this is the default Learjet, using the 2d panels you can see how all of the MS Flight Sim games differ from each other. Flight Gear also has the airplane.

Note: if anyone can tell me why my X-Plane v9 looks like that, that would be great. It's showing scattered clouds but it looks like overcast with alot of smog.

Bonus X-Plane Version 5.52 (2000 Laminar Research) - this is looking in the wrong direction and it wont see my joystick having a proper twisting action to simulate rudder.

Thanks for sharing this! I love those posts showing FS over the years. It's truly amazing to see how far FS has come since the first version.

Cool post. Really shows how far we've come in the FlightSim area over the years. Also, the first couple of shots brought back old memories of what I think saw when I woke up on board the ship one morning after a night out on the town in Hong Kong.

I came into this whole FS thing at FS2002 so it's really cool to see these shots from the older sims. Great thread, thanks.

Nicely done! There's ole xplane 9 with it's "fantastic" fog layer. That's why all the xplane nuts claim performance is better.... You're seeing that fog because it's detecting your hardware settings (increasing fog to increase FPS)

ah okay, i didnt know that.

so the next one will be thunderstorms (if possible include lighting) so that means the infamous piller of rocks clouds.
